Hello
My name is Owen Noel. This is my testimony
When I was growing up I felt something wasn't right with my life and the way things were going. In my late 20's I had been to about 5 churches and they just were not satisfying this need that I had. In my 30's, I found a few other churches and there were a few that I wouldn't recommend to anyone. I even found a church where I was told by the pastor, because I couldn't afford a suit and tie and that I was only there to pick up women; that I couldn't go to their church. Only to find out later that the Pastor was caught with someone else's wife, (go figure). So I decided church wasn't what was missing in my life. It was just the presence of the Lord but, I didn't have any clue as to how to get to know him. So I just shrugged the feeling off. I got married in 1998 to a woman with a heart of gold and since then have had 4 wonderful children. Where we live now, I had been taking my youngest to a parking lot across from the end of my street for about 2 years to catch her bus. One day this guy came up to me and introduced himself as Pastor Gene Pelkey of New Life Worship Center, which it was the church parking lot I was always standing on; waiting for my daughter's bus. He started talking to me and my daughter and that's when that feeling (I shrugged off earlier) came back. As time went on, he convinced me to go to Worship Services one Sunday morning. While he did his preaching, I was feeling so confused about what he was preaching. So I talked to him a little more each day and started feeling the need to ask more intense questions about God. When I started asking, Pastor Gene was more than happy to give me the answers that I was seeking. I have been a member of the church now since the fall of 2008 and have never felt so loved by any other church. I gave myself to God and got baptized on December 7, 2008 in the Water and the Spirit. Now I know that God's promise is true and I will never lose His Love and the fact that I will always have a home when the rapture comes.
After I received the holy Spirit, I started praying that my family would come to Jesus and be saved and Baptized.
In January of 2009. My vehicle started giving us trouble, so I did what I could to keep it alive. I started to pray that
god would help us find a vehicle that would match my families needs, it seem to continue working without any issues As time went on, my wife and children came to church more and more. It was nice to have my whole family there. One day during a Bible study at my home my kids started talking about getting baptized. I told them that they would have to know why they were being baptized and what the consequences were when they did it. When they finally understood, then they
would be baptized. During one of our other Bible study Pastor Gene asked my wife if she was ready to get baptized. She told him; "There is no way, no how that I'm getting baptized. I'm just doing this for Owen and that's it." So we continued to do the Bible Studies and on May 29th we were in the middle of doing one, when my wife told the Pastor that she wanted to get baptized. We just looked at one another and he said "alright." The following Sunday morning we went to church and my wife did get baptized. But, to my surprise, it wasn't only my wife that got baptized. My oldest daughter and youngest son also got baptized. I thank God for surprising me like that because I had been praying for all of my kids to be willing to be baptized. On June 1st our vehicle broke down completely and ended up in the junk yard. So now I was really praying for a miracle in order to get a new car. I had asked the church to help pray that we get a vehicle. Just so that we would be able to get to all the kids appointments. Well God came through again. My oldest daughter was graduating from the fifth grade and my Youngest was graduating kindergarten so the school through a little ceremony for those two grades. When my wife and I had finished watching the ceremonies. The principle (Mrs. Clarke) said she needed to see my wife and I in her office right away, so my wife and I went to her office and proceeded to tell us that she was starting her doctorate this year and her husband told her she would need a new car. So when they went out and bought one but she couldn't figure out what to do with the old one. then she said all of a sudden it came to her that our family needed a vehicle. so she wanted us to take the car free and clear. I was really taken aback that God could work through non-saved people to help people who are saved and baptized.
As time went on and my family stayed obedient to God he continued to bless us with many things. My two oldest kids went to a Christian Youth Camp for the first time in their lives in August and on the second day both my kids received the Holy Spirit. On the final evening of the camp I took the wife up so that she could see what my kids were doing every night during the week they were there. We had a tremendous time. The best part of it was when they did the Alter Call at the end, over 50 kids were at the alter praying. My youngest son had gone up to pray, he too received the Holy Spirit. When my wife said that it was time to get the two youngest ones home. I started looking for my youngest daughter (who is only 6), Pastor Harrington helped me look for her and saw her kneeling and praying, WITHOUT ANY DIRECTION from any adults. I started to put my hand on her to let her know it was time to go and I heard her speaking in tongues. so it goes to show, it doesn't matter how old you are. You CAN RECEIVE the Holy Ghost. To this day, Nov 4, 2009 my whole family has been saved, baptized the Bible Way. By being fully immersed in water for the remission of their sins and receiving the holy Spirit by evidence of speaking in tongues. I Pray that you will come and join us at the New Life Worship Center at 118 Meadow St. Westfield, Ma. 01085 Here is where you will find Completeness, forgiveness and Love that god has promised all of us if we only ask for it.
