Hello
My name is Jacquelyn Gauthier
I first came back to the Lord in 1993 when my mother and
stepfather got baptized at the Assembly of God Church . My mother had been sick and
hospitalized several years before she was baptized and the Doctors gave her no
hope, and she came home on Hospice Care, well God did a miracle and Hospice
fired her...lol, and she lived another 10 years and had been faithful to God
and the church. My mother died April 23, 2002.
Well on that day that mom was baptized Charlie and I said the sinners
prayer, you must be born again!!!. I've never cried so hard or so much in my
life as I had that day. So we used to go to prayer meetings, and bible studies,
and church every Sunday until Charlie got sick and couldn't go anymore, then
Pastor Karl used to come to Chicopee to visit us. Well, unfortunately Charlie
died in 1995 of AIDS we had found out he had this soon after we were married in
1992 due to the fact that he used to do drugs, Cocaine and
Heroine. When I found out that Charlie had AIDS, I had gone to the doctor to get
a test done for myself and yes, it was positive, I had it as well. After mom had
passed I had gone to the church the following Sunday and I just couldn�t go in,
there were too many memories of her and Charlie there and I�d start crying and
left which led me to stop going to church.
Why I am telling you this is because that is the church I had gone to for years,
until my best friend (Mia) came to me and asked me if I would go to see her get
baptized and I said of course I would. I always thought that the
Pentecostal Church was a Russian Church so I never gave it a thought until Mia
got baptized there. Well I had been going there for about four years or so
now and God has blessed me with so many things. In February of 2005 Pastor Harrington
of Northampton was preaching that day and he looked right
at me from the pulpit and asked me if I knew him and I was looking around to
see who he was talking to, I pointed to myself and he said yes, do I know
you and I shook my head no and he told me to see him after the service. So you
can imagine what I was thinking all during the service, I don�t even remember
what he preached on. So anyway after the service he said to me that he had seen
me in a dream and he said are you sick and I had told him I have been for years
and he said that God told him to tell me that I was healed!!!!! Oh my
gosh, I didn�t know what to do I went over to the Pastor and Sister Pelkey and
told them what Pastor Harrington had said to me and what should I do and they
told me to THANK GOD and that is what I did. So I went home and after I had
gotten myself together I called my sisters, Beth and Wendy and told them what
Pastor Harrington had said and we
praised the Lord and cried. Well I never felt the calling to get baptized at the Pioneer Valley
Assembly of God, but God showed me the truth about true Bible Salvation and I finally got baptized
in Jesus' name for the remission of Sins on April 16, 2006, at 1st UPC of Westfield, MA,
which is now New Life Worship Center. I since have been delivered form
cigarettes and stopped living in sin. I now serve Him and I thank God everyday for what He has done for me. I also want
to thank Pastor and Sister Pelkey for always being there for
me and letting God use them to help me see things with a clearer understanding
